6 Methods to Fix iMessage Not Working on iPhone Issue
Method 1: Check Wi-Fi Connection or Internet Connection
Since iMessage uses an Internet or Wi-Fi connection to send and receive a message, make sure your iPhone is connected to a good Wi-Fi network. Go to the Wi-Fi network and check the connection. Try turning Wi-Fi off and on or switch to a different Wi-Fi network to fix the problem with the iMessage feature.
Method 2: Turn off iMessage then ON
By turning iMessage off and on again, then restarting the device, many users were able to solve the problem of iMessage not working. If you haven’t tried this method yet, go to Settings > Messages > rotate to disable. Then reboot the device by holding the power button and sliding to power off. After the device reboots, go to Settings again and enable iMessage to check if this is resolved.

Method 5: Reset Network Settings
Resetting network settings also helps to fix iMessage not working issue. To do this, go to Settings > General > iPhone Transfer & Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings > enter passcode. That is it.
Method 6: Check IOS Update
