Why is BGMI not available on iOS?

Bad days are back for PUBG Indian fans as the BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) PUBG Mobile Indian version of the game has been removed from Google Play Store and App Store.

Within a year of BGMI’s release, the Indian government banned the game again from July 28. According to the news, they have removed the game from both stores for security reasons.

Google also confirmed the ban on removing BGMI from the Google Play Store. The tech giant replied that they have removed the BGMI from the Play Store following official government orders.

Last year, when the government banned PUBG Mobile due to user privacy concerns, the game makers designed a special version for the Indian players and released the BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India). And again, the game has been banned by the government of India for the same reason.

Since the game was removed from the Google Play Store and App Store, the game’s creators wrote:

“We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from the Google Play and App stores and will let you know as soon as we receive specific information.”

Google also responded:

“After receiving the order, according to the established process, we notified the affected developer and blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India.”

According to Twitter user Aditya Kalra:

“A source says Krafton’s BGMI game is banned under Section 69A of the IT Act, often used to ban Chinese apps due to national security concerns. Krafton shares fell 9 pc in morning trading in South Korea.”
