iOS 16.2 is next on the line of release. iOS 16 was considered one of the major updates, but it left out a few features that were expected to be released with iOS 16. Apart from that, iOS 16 and iOS 16.1 came with some bugs and issues that caused iPhone performance issues. Apple already released the beta version of iOS 16.2 to the developers and the public last week, but since the previous version of iOS 16 was faulty, we may not expect iOS 16.2 to be released as soon as it may take some time to find out. to get bugs and issues and then to fix it while it’s still in beta.
Apple is doing its best to give users the best possible experience they could ever get, and to achieve this, Apple has already released minor updates such as iOS 16.0.1 and iOS 16.0.2 so that they have an easy way out of problems figure out and fix while they are still in beta testing before the official release. As mentioned above, there are still a lot of features that were left out when iOS 16 was released and not in iOS 16.1 either, so we can expect that with iOS 16.2 there are some new features for users to try out.
Speaking of the release date, Mark Gurman has predicted a date in his newsletter based on the calculations from the previous release. According to Mark Gurman, the first public beta of iOS 16.2 was released on October 27e, 2022, so based on that, a few days to test the beta version and fix the problem, it’s reasonable to expect that the official release of iOS 16.2 will be in mid-December. Speaking of the release dates, Gurman hasn’t failed to mention that Apple may also be planning to introduce the upgraded models that can include M2-based versions of MacBook Pro’s 14-inch and 16-inch in the first quarter of 2023 and also plans to is about to launch the upcoming macOS Ventura 13.3 and iOS 16.3 in the coming year.
Since Mark Gurman is almost never wrong about his predictions of releases and features, we can also stay prepared for the official release of iOS 16.2 in mid-December. Apple has not released any official news about the release of iOS 16.2, but given the pattern of the release, iOS 16.2 cannot be delayed any more than mid-December.
Not only will iOS 16.2 be released in mid-December, but users can also expect iPadOS 16.2 to be released with it. Currently all beta versions are being tested, but we hope to get the official release of this update for all compatible devices of iPhone and iPad soon.
