OnePlus has revealed details about the design and camera of its upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus 10T 5G, ahead of its August 3 launch eventrd in New York City.
As with every previous OnePlus launch, the company teased the features of the smartphone ahead of its release. The design language of the OnePlus 10T 5G is very similar to the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro launched earlier this year, but with some minor changes.
The smartphone gets a huge camera bump on the back and is available in two colors: Moonstone Black and Jade Green.

However, the upcoming OnePlus 10T 5G smartphone comes with two major exceptions: there’s no alert slider and the cameras don’t come with Hasselblad branding.
According to OnePlus Chief Designer Hope Liu, the alert slider that was used to put the phone in silent or vibrate mode has been ditched for a reason. The alert slider has been removed to allow enough internal space for “high wattage charging, large battery capacity, and better antenna signal” on the upcoming flagship.
For example, Liu told The Verge that the 80W fast-charging OnePlus 10 Pro only needs one “charging pump”, but the company needs to put two “charging pumps” in the OnePlus 10T 5G to achieve faster charging speeds. While it’s unclear how fast charging will be, there are indications that 150W fast charging from the OnePlus 10R could be made available on the OnePlus 10T 5G.
“While the alert slider appears to be a very small part, it actually has a relatively large impact on the motherboard area of the device — it occupies 30mm²,” Liu told The Verge in an email.
“In order for the OnePlus 10T to perform in the areas that we know our users value the most…while maintaining the alert slider, we would have had to stack the device’s motherboard, which would have made the device thicker. “
The company has also prioritized an antenna system with 15 separate antennas in the OnePlus 10T 5G to improve the signal when the smartphone is held horizontally – an advantage when playing games online.
In addition to the alert slider, the Hasselblad branding on the camera module, which was seen on the OnePlus 9.9 Pro and the 10 Pro, is now not seen on the OnePlus 10T 5G.
Speaking of the absence of a Hasselblad camera, Liu echoed the company’s previous blog post detailing the camera features of the upcoming OnePlus 10T 5G. The company has decided not to put the Hasselblad branding on the camera as it aims to provide an ultimate flagship smartphone experience at the price of the device at a certain level.
However, the smartphone still packs “excellent photography hardware” backed by its incredible array of computational photography features. The OnePlus 10T comes with a triple camera system on the back led by the flagship 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with a large sensor size of 1/1.56 inches combined with optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) support. .
Furthermore, OnePlus’ upcoming flagship offers an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with a field of view of 119.9° and a 2MP macro camera that allows you to zoom out and zoom in respectively.
The OnePlus 10T 5G also comes with a new Image Clarity Engine (ICE) that allows the device to take faster and more detailed photos.
In addition, the smartphone supports HDR 5.0 and TurboRAW algorithms for enhanced HDR performance, enhanced Nightscape mode, 10-bit color, Smart Link, a 360-degree antenna system for uninterrupted gaming and more.
