You don’t even need to go anywhere for this, with just a simple click on your iPhone you can send money or emails to your family or colleagues who are in prison.

What is JPay?

JPay is a privately held company that provides information technology and financial services to US prisons. Based in Miramar, Florida, the company partners with state, county, and federal prisons and prisons to provide technology and services to nearly 1.5 million offenders in 35 states, including money transfer, email, video visit, and parole and probationary payments.

How does JPay work?

You can transfer money to an inmate’s trust account using this app, JPay convict app, using your debit or credit card through the Send Money feature. But there is one thing to remember: not all inmates have this facility. Only a few selected inmates can access this JPay feature.

How do you send money to a prisoner on iPhone?

When it comes to transferring money, there are several customization options. You can add/edit/delete payment methods quickly and easily. The most recent upgrades also include several security changes and improvements so you can send money with the app with confidence.

  1. Go to safari. > Search www.jpay.com
  2. Log in to your JPay account by entering your email address and password. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one.
  3. On the home page, go to the navigation menu.
  4. Click on ‘Send money’.
  5. In the transfer category, select a desired transfer category and then click ok.
  6. If you don’t have the option of transfer category, simply click continue.
  7. Select a previously saved card from the Select card to use list, or click Use a new credit/debit card to use a new card (you will be prompted to add billing information for the new card).
  8. Enter the amount you want to give to the inmate in the Enter Amount section, then click Continue.
  9. Check the details in the Payment Verification box, then click Submit.
