Is iOS 16 stable?

iOS 16 has been around for a month and is already in play. While most users have already installed iOS 16 and are taking advantage of all the new features iOS 16 has to offer, some users are still deciding whether iOS 16 is stable enough to install on their iPhones. It might be worth the wait before installing iOS 16 because with more features, the software update is likely to contain bugs. All the major software updates we’ve received so far are bugged, and iOS 16 is no different. iOS 16 broke the record of introducing new features, more than expected, and in addition to bugs and problems, there were no fewer, which was very unexpected. And based on all the issues iOS 16 faced, it seems only fair that users are asking a question about the stability of the software they install on their iPhones.

There were mixed reviews about installing iOS 16. iOS 16 can be said as nearly stable rather than calling it completely stable, although there are a few flaws that can cause little inconvenience. There are many reported incidents that can cause iOS 16 to be unstable. Well, no iOS release is always bug free. Every coin has 2 sides and so does the iOS 16 software update. With the brand new great features, it also comes with bugs and issues.

IOS 16 has come in with a bang and offers its users great new features such as customizable lock screen, focus, editing, sending and deleting messages, scheduling and retrieving an email in the email application. Dictation has been improved, haptic keyboard function, disable function in the photo app, shared tab groups, live text, visual lookup, follow Apple payment order, redesigned home, security check and much more. Other improvements.

Going to the buggy side of iOS 16, captions on YouTube Safari seem bizarre; captions are not displayed in full screen and there is no option to enable captions. There does not appear to be any aggregated log files showing battery status and cycles. I’m not sure how long it takes for the files to reappear. According to some reports, the weather app would allow users to save up to 50 locations. That does not appear to be the case, as the restriction remains at 20 sites. The thing is, some websites claim that the weather app allows adding more places, but this is not the case. I’m not sure if they just made a mistake or if Apple didn’t implement that update. Battery life is worse than before, users are losing more juice than expected. There have been instances where you can’t even download apps from the Appstore.

It is balanced to have many features, but at the same time it brings many problems. For those who are still wondering if iOS 16 is stable or not, if you look at the features and other improvements, I suggest you go for iOS 16 and install it on your device, but if you look at the performance of your device after the update, I recommend sticking with iOS 15.7 for now, as Apple has already done iOS 16.2 in beta testing, which would allow Apple to fix all the defects and introduce a version that is hopefully bug-free.

Until next time, with another topic. Until then, Toodles.
