iOS 16.2 bugs and issues

There was a bug reported by many users related to location service, that it was enabled and their device continued to use location service even after closing the application. It was even reported that the system services also stayed on even when the device was not in use. Since location service and system services were always on even for no reason, it is understandable that it consumes a lot of battery life.

When you take a screenshot of the live video, the iPhone’s screen goes blank and you have to close and restart the app. the second blank screen bug reported was that when you open the camera from the lock screen by swiping to the left, you get a blank screen.

After iOS 16.2 when you use Apple Music app to listen to music, it would completely freeze in the middle. After restarting the application when you start playing the song again, the Apple Music app starts to crash.

Users took to Twitter to voice their concerns about Wi-Fi connectivity. It was reported that Wi-Fi was not turning off even after turning it off manually. To turn off Wi-Fi, you need to put your device in airplane mode for a few seconds or reboot the device to turn off the Wi-Fi switch.

“Even the iOS 16.2 has some bugs. I found this one. Wi-Fi won’t turn off, but after turning airplane mode on and off, it works fine.”

Users around the world have reported that the weather app is not working properly. It is still not confirmed if it is due to a bug or if there is a problem with the application.

“iOS 16.2 is available, I found one bug. I am not getting my weather data.”

Talking about battery life, it seems that it is getting stable and not as bad as when iOS 16 came out. iOS 16.2 is definitely better than the previous version of iOS 16 in terms of battery life. As far as iOS 16.2 performance is concerned, you might notice a small improvement in performance especially if you had some bugs. iOS 16.2 feels so much better, smoother, and faster than iOS 16.1 or iOS 16.1.2.
