iOS 16.1.1 bugs and issues

The never-ending string of iOS 16 bug issues and problems doesn’t seem to end. Apple released minor updates to fix the issues associated with the iOS 16 software update. Now, Apple has already released iOS 16.0.1, iOS 16.0.2 and iOS 16.0.3 as minor updates to fix the issues and bugs. and now Apple has released iOS 16.1.1 to fix the issues associated with the iOS 16.1 software update. iOS 16.1 came with lots of new features and updates but also brought major Wi-Fi connection issues, battery drain, live activity issues and much more. To fix the bugs made with this update, Apple has released iOS 16.1.1 which is known as a fix for the previous update.

iOS 16.1.1 is about 350 to 400 megabytes, it may vary depending on the iPhone model you are using. This is a minor update and should fix most of the bugs caused by the previous update. Thankfully, iOS 16.1.1 had a much smaller set of issues when it arrived. Almost all issues have been resolved, but some issues occurred to a minimum number of people after updating their devices to iOS 16.1.1.

iOS 16.1.1 largely fixed all the issues related to Wi-Fi connectivity and battery drain along with some other security patches, but there have been some incidents reported by the users who installed iOS 16.1.1 regarding some minor issues while using their iPhones. iPhone user went to Apple forum platform to express concern about bug where “sometimes you need to touch the keyboard when two fingers double tap to display the dictation?”It means that the magic tap with two fingers does not stop dictation. Several users have reported that this issue occurs on their iPhones running the iOS 16.1.1 update.

Mark Tech Space took to Twitter to voice his concern about a weird bug, the user said “if you go to settings > your iCloud at the top > payment and shipping… it launches the Music app first, followed by the payment and shipping screen you initially wanted. Does this happen every time, despite a hard reboot or something?”While this incident did not happen to everyone, it was only reported by a few users and after restarting their devices, this issue was resolved. But there were still concerns about this bug and hopefully Apple would fix this bug in the next update.

According to Apple, iOS 16.1.1 is said to improve battery life and include bug fixes and security patches, but since the update, the battery is draining much faster than the previous update. Even after trying all the solutions, the battery drain problem is not solved. This is usually reported on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series, on iPhone 14 models the battery drain problem was solved, as the users themselves said.

A bug has been reported regarding the widgets. After updating to iOS 16.1.1, there was a specific widget called the fitness widget that didn’t appear after the iPhone was updated. After refreshing and restarting the device, the fitness widget did not appear on the screen. Rest every other widget was visible except the fitness widget.

On the iPhone 14 Pro series, it was reported that there was a bug with the volume slider. When a user tried to adjust the volume while watching a video on YouTube, the volume slider would work differently and the volume wouldn’t increase or decrease when you moved the volume slider.

Aside from the volume slider bug, the iPhone 14 Pro series also had a bug with iMessages. “If I’m in a conversation with someone in messages, it will often take me out of that conversation and show me a list of messages instead of staying in the conversation I’m in.” this bug was also reported on other iPhone models and not just the iPhone 14 Pro series. Whenever you were in a conversation thread, the iPhone automatically kicked you out of the conversation to the main page on iMessages.

That’s it, folks! These were some of the most reported bugs and issues of iOS 16.1.1. If you have encountered or experienced any issues other than those listed above, please report and let us know in the comments box below.

Until next time, with another topic. Until then, Toodles.
