This is because blue light stimulates your brain and makes it think it is daytime, it can keep you awake if you use your device before going to bed, affect productivity or hurt your head.
Why would you turn off blue light on iPhone?
In fact, even scientists believe that the blue light emitted by devices may contribute to these problems, specifically by affecting sleep patterns by suppressing the hormone melatonin. Apple has also realized the importance of removing blue light from screens. So they came up with a solution to reduce the use of blue light at night.
Apple has introduced a new feature called Night Shift, which automatically changes the color of the screen from blue light to yellow light when turned on. To reduce the use of blue light, you should start by adjusting the night shift function.

What is night shift?
Night Shift is a function device that allows you to filter blue light and adjust the color temperature of your display. When it’s sunset, it automatically adjusts the colors of your screen, using your phone’s geolocation and clock to determine this. It will reset your screen to its default settings in the morning.
Which iPhone device supports Night Shift?
Night Shift is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, iPad Pro, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad Air or later, iPad mini 2 or later, and iPod touch 6th generation and later.
To use a blue light filter on iPhone: (Disable)
By default, blue light is the color temperature of your iPhone screen. There is no separate option to turn off the blue light. Instead, you can enable Night Shift Mode, which will turn on the yellow tint of your screen.
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Click Display and Brightness.
- Go to Night Shift.
- Set your time according to your need or choose a custom schedule by enabling manual turn on until tomorrow.
- Adjust the color temperature as desired.
You can enable Night Shift using Control Center and Brightness Control.
- Go to the control center by swiping down on the top right corner of your screen
- Press and hold the brightness control option.
- Click the Night Shift icon to toggle it on or off as desired.
