How to schedule a text on iPhone

  1. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Automation at the bottom of your screen.
  3. In the top right corner, tap Add icon.
  4. Then tap the “Create Personal Automation” button.
  5. From the New Automation menu screen, select your SMS prompt i.e. Time of Day.
  6. Click the Time of Day tab to select a specific time to send your text. You can even select the other two given options: sunrise and sunset.
  7. Now go to the Repeat section on your screen and select the options of your choice from Weekly, Daily and Monthly. If you choose Weekly or Monthly, format the days as needed.
  8. Tap Next.
  9. Under Suggestions for next action, click Send message.
  10. A new action page will open. Click Message near the Send Message option to enter your automated text message.
  11. Add your recipients by clicking the Recipients option in the same text field and then click the Done option.
  12. Then click on the Next option.
  13. If you want your iPhone to ask you whether or not you want to do this automation with your permission, simply enable Ask.
