How to delete an app on iPhone

The thing is, sometimes when you try to uninstall or remove an app, Apple puts that app in your app library instead. Therefore, follow the steps below to completely uninstall an app. You can remove all installed apps from your home screen. While some of the preloaded apps on your iPhone cannot be uninstalled, the app you personally installed along with its data can be uninstalled.

How to delete an app on iPhone:


  1. Find the application on your home screen that you want to uninstall.
  2. If you can’t find that particular application on your home screen, you can quickly search for it by swiping right on your home screen.
  3. Just press and hold the application for a few seconds.
  4. For iPhone with iOS 14 and later version, you will see a pop-up menu on your screen.
  5. Remove your finger from the app after a pop-up menu appears on the screen.
  6. Click on the delete app option.
  7. A confirmation tab will appear on the screen asking you to uninstall the app or just delete it from your home screen.
  8. Click on the delete app option.
  9. Clicking the Remove from Home screen option will only remove it from your Home screen, but it will still be on your iPhone device in the app library.
  10. If your iPhone has iOS 13 or older version, you will not see a popup menu, instead you will have a cross option in the app and the whole application will start to wiggle.

  2. Go to the General tab.
  3. Click on iPhone storage option.
  4. You will see a list of all the apps installed on your iPhone.
  5. click on the application you want to remove.
  6. On your screen you will see an option called delete app.

  8. A tab will open to confirm if you want to uninstall the app.
  9. Click Delete App to confirm.
  10. Clicking on the offload app option will also remove the application from iPhone but keep all your app related data so reinstalling will restore all data.
