How to go back to iOS 15

When you switch back to iOS 15, you cannot restore from an iOS 16 backup. You can of course restore from a previous iOS 15 backup. To do this, you need to wipe and restore your device. Make sure you are using the latest version of macOS/PC before starting the iOS 16 beta uninstall process.

  1. Use a Lightning or USB-C connection to connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC.
  2. To enter recovery mode on your device, select the appropriate method from the list below. If you are successful, you will see a computer symbol and a cord.
  3. Press and release the volume up button on an iPhone 8 or later. You need to press and release the volume down button. Continue holding the side button until the recovery mode screen appears.

There is another method that you can try, but this method will not let you go back to iOS 15. To get rid of the beta version, you have to wait until Apple’s official release for iOS 16.

Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > iOS 16 Beta Profile > Delete Profile.

That’s it folks! By following this simple method, you can go back to iOS 15 without hesitation. Don’t forget to backup your phone.

Until next time, with another topic. Until then, Toodles.
