Speaking of live activities, its main purpose is to help users know what is happening around them or in the world, including all the activities performed on their devices, be it tracking food delivery, updating a sports game or tracking your uber ride, it could be anything. You don’t even need to unlock your iPhone to get the updates, you will get all the updates from it on the lock screen which saves you some time and energy. You just need to unlock your device with your face ID and on the lock screen itself you will see the live updates.

“Live Activities is a new feature that helps users stay up to date with things that are happening in real time, such as a sports game, workout, shared ride, or food order, right from the lock screen.”

But to see the live updates of the application in the background, users need to enable the live activity feature on their iPhone 13. The live activity feature is disabled by default. Thus, users need to enable this feature manually by going to the settings app on their iPhone 13.

Indeed, iOS 16 came with a lot of features and there are many more to be released that we expect to get with other versions of iOS 16. We definitely have lock screen customization, which already gets enough credit alongside its widgets. Well, live activities are also considered a part of the lock screen, but not exactly in widget form.

If you’ve accidentally removed live activity from your lock screen, don’t worry about disabling anything running in the background. For example, if you ordered something to eat and you deleted the live food delivery activity track, your order will not be canceled, it will just no longer appear on the lock screen.
