Disable the iOS 16 music lock screen

The lock screen is one of the most discussed and used features of iOS 16. Every iPhone user is now addicted to lock screen widgets and even download third-party apps to get more widget customization. On iOS, the lock screen displays all your recent notifications from Notification Center, the clock, and quick access to your camera and flashlight. And now you can add widgets that display weather, news, stocks, reminders, music, and more. However, when you start playing media on your iPhone, the lock screen now has a large widget that displays the current music track or media playing on the device. This widget also provides playback, volume, and device switching controls.

As beneficial as it is when listening to music, several users have complained that it doesn’t go away completely if you don’t listen to music on your iPhone. This may annoy some users as the widget may interfere with other apps’ alerts. If you want to disable the music widget from the lock screen, this is the option for you. It is quite easy to do this.
