Ever since I started using the iMessage app on my iPhone to chat with other iPhone friends, I often come to the circumstances where I accidentally send the message to the wrong person. Sometimes I even regret sending the wrong message to the right person. At the time, I wished the undo button in the iMessage app could undo sending messages on my iPhone.
With each new update, Apple tries to improve its ecosystem by adding new features and making improvements for iPhone users. At the WWDC event on June 6, 2022, Apple presented the next-gen iOS 16. This new update brings the new customization options for the lock screen, Apple Pay Later, SharePlay Upgrade and many more features.
However, the iMessage upgrade with iOS 16 was the biggest charm of the event, as Apple added the new Edit, Undo Send and Mark as Unread option for iPhone users to the iMessage chat app.
Remark: iOS 16 is currently under beta program. The iOS 16 public beta is also available for testing, but the final and stable version of iOS 16 will be released in September 2022.
Ever since the new Unsend message landed on iPhone feature with iOS 16, every iPhone user would love to have that feature on their beloved iPhone. Many users also ask if I can use the undo iMessage feature on iOS 15 update.
How do you delete a message on iOS 15?
Apple’s Unsend Message feature is only available for iPhones running iOS 16, and you cannot use the unsend message feature on an iOS 15 device. You will have to wait for iOS 16 stable release, or you can install iOS 16 public beta now to get this iMessage upgrade.
