1. SCREEN TAKES

With iOS 16, users can now rename their screen discount by tapping the share button. When you click the share button, a pop-up box will appear with an option to rename at the top. Click on it, enter any name you want and then hit the submit button.

When you select the Done option, you will be presented with a whole host of new options for working with screenshots, including saving to photos, quick notes, files, copying and deleting, and finally deleting screenshots.

2. SEARCH PHOTOS

Finally, you can search for photos based on the text on the photo. This can be done directly from the Photos app. It is now very easy to find photos, especially screenshots or notes.

3. DATE/TIME

With iOS 16, you can simply select a group of photos, tap the three dots, and then change the date and time of the photo. You can even change the location of the photos. You can do it all at once without having to select each item individually.

4. ALARM

You can now set your alarm from the spotlight search without opening the clock app. Go to search spotlight and search for alarm, then click create alarm, choose a time that works for you and tap the Done option.

5. SAFARI CLOSE TABS

This is a very useful feature found in Safari in iOS 16. When you click on Clear Browsing Data and want to clear all data from Safari but have tabs open, this feature now gives you the option to keep or close tabs .

iOS 16 lets you share extensions across devices. So if you use safari extensions on your iPhone, you don’t need to install them on any other device; instead go to safari settings > extensions > enable cross-device sharing.

6. SORT PLAYLIST

When it comes to music, you can finally sort your playlist on your iPhone. You can sort by title, artist, album or release date. Just go to the music library, click on the three dots and follow the on-screen instructions.

7. EVENTS CALENDAR

On iOS 16, the default calendar app now lets you copy and paste events. You can copy an event by tapping and holding it. When you create a new event, you have the option to paste it from the clipboard.

8. VOTE MESSAGE

A nice feature of iMessage in iOS 16 is that you no longer have to hold down the voice recording button to record a voice message. All you have to do is tap on it and it will start recording; once done, tap again and you’re good to go.

9. WALLPAPER

In iOS 16, there is no option to select wallpaper for both the home screen and the lock screen. Just go to the wallpaper settings and select the screen focus option to select your preferred wallpaper.

10. SEARCH BUTTON

The search button on the home screen is another new feature in iOS 16. When you click the search button, you will be redirected to the spotlight search. You can disable it by going to the home screen settings and unchecking the show option on the home screen.

11. QUICK NOTE:

This feature can work anywhere on iOS 16. That feature is available anywhere you access the shared sheet. You can also add photos to a quick note directly from the Photos app. Go to the photos, click the share button, then tap the ‘Add to a quick note’ button.
